What began in 1982 as a small gathering of pastors who had a burden for the homeless and the hurting people on the streets of Lewiston became Hope Haven Gospel Mission. Over the years, Hope Haven has bloomed into the warm and diverse community we are today, serving those less fortunate in the greater Lewiston/Auburn area and extending to all of Maine. Drawn together by a shared longing for connection and meaning, those early members planted the first seeds. Through seasons of growth and change, we have remained rooted in the same simple belief that brought us together: that faith flourishes best in the company of others. Today, we are proud to be a community where people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life find friendship, purpose, and a place to call home - and our story continues to grow with every new face that walks through our doors into The New Hope Haven Gospel Mission.
